MTE Announces Energy Academy Workshop Series

GET TIPS TO SAVE ON CONSUMPTION, MONTHLY BILLS FROM ENERGY PROS

MURFREESBORO, TENN. – Startled by a higher than usual electric bill after this winter’s bone-chilling cold waves? Want to learn some easy ways to conserve energy during those peak periods of unprecedented low temperatures, and the inevitable high temperatures coming this summer? Besides thermostat discipline, what are some other conservation tricks of the trade? Want to know more about solar and other renewable energy sources, and how they may help save money and protect the environment?

Look no further, the energy pros on Middle Tennessee Electric’s Energy Services team have answers to these questions and more; and they have scheduled a series of virtual energy efficiency workshops called “MTE’s Energy Academy” starting Thursday, May 6.

All sessions will be virtual and held at 12 p.m. and then again at 6 p.m. on the following days:

Recordings of each session will be available online after the series is finalized.

“We think these “how-to” sessions will go a long way to provide meaningful ways to conserve energy and save money; we have an excellent line-up of subject matter experts to guide the discussion,” said Tim Suddoth, DER Coordinator for MTE. “During the sessions, there will be interactive features that will allow people to ask questions and receive answers, and we will also provide contact information for MTE’s team.”

There will be a drawing for various door prizes at both the 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. sessions each week.
