Youth Leadership Summit
All expenses paid trip to learn about local government
Delegates from across Tennessee receive a hands-on look at state government, learn networking and leadership skills, and develop a better understanding of their local electric cooperatives. 2 delegates are selected from MTE's service territory to join this three-day, all-expenses-paid seminar in Nashville.
Who gets to go? High School Juniors
When does it happen? March
How do I get picked? Each year, MTE rotates the counties served through the Youth Leadership Summit. School counselors in the selected counties recommend students based on leadership ability and community involvement. From those recommendations, one male and one female delegate are chosen to attend the seminar.
Who pays for it? All expenses are paid by Middle Tennessee Electric and the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association
