Get help paying for home energy improvements
Most of us put off home improvements for the same reason — the cost. We’d like to help with that. MTE offers rebates on qualifying upgrades, competitive financing for a new heat pump, no-cost improvements for qualifying members, and a bill credit for installing EV charging wiring at home. Some of these are MTE programs, and the rest are in partnership with our power generation partner, TVA.
Get a rebate on qualifying home energy upgrades, including HVAC work, ductwork, air sealing, and insulation. MTE delivers this program with TVA EnergyRight.
Finance a new HVAC unit at a competitive rate with terms up to 10 years and no penalty for paying it off early. Payments are added to your electric bill.
Eligible households can receive significant home energy upgrades at no cost, including HVAC repair or replacement, ductwork, insulation, and air sealing. MTE offers this program in partnership with TVA.
Residential members can earn a $50 bill credit for installing the wiring that supports Level 2 (240-volt) EV charging at an existing home. Builders and home developers can participate through a separate application.
Earn rewards for using less energy when demand is highest. This TVA EnergyRight program is open to residential and small-business members, with a rebate for enrolling a thermostat you already own or for buying a new one.
An MTE EnergyPro walks through your home for free and shares customized suggestions for lowering your energy use. It’s the best first step before starting any project.
These are the local contractors who meet TVA’s energy standards. Work paid through an MTE rebate or loan must be completed by a contractor on this list.
