Quality Contractor Network
Check the list before you hire
Replacing a heating and cooling system or making other energy upgrades is a big expense and a big decision we don’t make often. MTE has partnered with TVA to make it a little easier. The Quality Contractor Network (QCN) is a list of local businesses that meet TVA’s energy standards.
If you’re planning to apply for an MTE or TVA EnergyRight rebate or a heat pump loan, you must hire a contractor from this network. If you hire someone who isn’t on the list, the work won’t qualify. We recommend getting estimates from three contractors before deciding. Download the local list below.
What to know before you hire
Using a network contractor is required for TVA EnergyRight home rebates and the Heat Pump Loan Program. This is the step members most often miss, and it isn’t something we can fix afterward. If you hire a contractor who isn’t in the network, the work won’t qualify for a rebate or financing — even if the upgrade itself would have. Check the list before you sign anything or schedule work.

The list provides names, service categories, addresses, phone numbers, and websites for businesses serving our area. We recommend getting estimates from three of them. Comparing gives you a feel for fair pricing and helps you find someone you’re comfortable having in your home. Ask each one what’s included, how long the work will take, and what happens if something needs correcting.

Your contractor does. Network contractors enter the project directly into TVA’s Residential Services Hub, and members can’t submit it themselves. When you’re getting estimates, confirm the contractor knows you’re pursuing a rebate or loan, so they file it correctly.

Good to know
Network contractors work on energy upgrades to your home — things like heating and cooling systems, insulation, air sealing, and ductwork. Not every contractor handles every type of work, so the list shows the service categories each business offers.
TVA sets the energy standards and approves which businesses join the network. MTE maintains and publishes the local list for our service area, so what you’re downloading is specific to the businesses working near you.
Network membership means a business meets TVA’s energy standards and is approved to do program work. It isn’t an endorsement or a guarantee of any contractor’s work. You’re still hiring them directly, so compare estimates and ask questions before you decide.
If your business serves MTE members and you’d like to join the network, you can register through TVA at energyright.com. Joining connects you with members pursuing TVA EnergyRight rebates and MTE financing.
