Improving your home's energy efficiency is a big decision. MTE has options to help you navigate and save on these upgrades

  • Home Rebates. MTE and TVA EnergyRight offer rebates on qualifying upgrades completed by a Quality Contractor Network contractor.
  • Heat Pump Loan Program. Qualifying homeowners can finance an eligible electric or dual-fuel heat pump system and pay for it on their monthly electric bill. A Quality Contractor Network contractor must complete the work.
  • Home Uplift. MTE and TVA support no-cost home energy improvements for qualifying households. TVA manages applications.

There's more than one way to add solar to your life.

  • Cooperative Solar. Subscribe to a block of panels at MTE's solar field in College Grove. There's no equipment to own and no long-term contract.
  • ProSolar. Thinking about panels for your roof? Get a free consultation with an MTE Solar EnergyPro before you sign a contract, including an estimate of how much energy your system could produce.
  • Green Plan. Offset 100% of your monthly energy use with renewable power — which includes solar generated in the Tennessee Valley. There’s no equipment to buy or install, and you can join or leave month-to-month.

Charging at home is easy if your home is ready to support charging. Most EV drivers use Level 2 charging at home because it's faster than a standard outlet (Level 1). MTE's EV Ready program gives residential members a bill credit toward the wiring needed for Level 2 home charging.
