Life Support Program
Important information for members using life support equipment
Middle Tennessee Electric is committed to supporting members who depend on life support equipment at home. Our Life Support Program provides special consideration for these members in billing and account management. While this program does not guarantee priority restoration during outages, it ensures your account and meter are flagged for extra attention in case of payment issues or other special circumstances that could result in a loss of electrical service.
This program is designed to assist members whose doctors certify that disconnection of electrical service would create a life-threatening medical situation. Some examples of these situations include oxygen concentrators, in-home dialysis, and nebulizers.
If you rely on life support equipment, MTE is here to help. Reach out anytime for support, guidance, or questions about your account.
