Niteflex Terms & Conditions

MTE’s NiteFlex plan allows members to shift energy usage overnight to save money on their energy bills. The NiteFlex plan sets daytime hours as 4 am – 10 pm daily and nighttime hours as 10 pm – 4 am daily. Members pay an additional $0.01 per kWh during daytime hours compared to MTE’s Traditional rate but save $0.03 per kWh during overnight hours. 
MTE’s NiteFlex plan is an optional rate plan that any member can sign up for. Members must recognize the need for a load that can be moved overnight to maximize potential savings from this plan. An example of this load is an electric vehicle with Level 2 (240-volt) charging. The NiteFlex plan applies to the member’s entire home, meaning all energy usage will be billed using the daytime and nighttime rates described above. 
MTE’s NiteFlex plan is a pilot rate plan. It is designed for a twelve-month adoption, meaning members who sign up for the NiteFlex plan should be willing to commit to keeping the rate plan for a full year before changing to another plan.  
MTE’s NiteFlex plan is available for residential members only. Prepaid and non-residential accounts are not eligible. If your account is disconnected for non-pay, MTE may remove it from the NiteFlex plan and return it to the Traditional plan. 
MTE reserves the right to terminate or discontinue the NiteFlex plan at any time.
