The cooperative’s brand signifies the organization’s on-going evolution while underscoring MTE’s commitment to be the trusted energy resource and partner its members have always known.

Note from Chris Jones, President & CEO

With the holiday season comes a time for reflection.

This year has been historic in many ways. We have faced uncertainly and anxiety from extreme weather events and a global pandemic. It seems that everything has been different in 2020; change has been the only common thread.

Scammers repeatedly attempt to steal our members’ money and personal identity information by posing as Middle Tennessee Electric. These attacks typically occur during periods of high energy consumption like summer and winter.

Keeping members informed about their cooperative is a priority for MTE. We’ve curated a list of awareness topics we feel our members should know. The topics on this page were chosen based on conversations and feedback from our members.

Each month, members of MTE can find content specific to them. From Annual Meeting information to energy programs and everything in between, The Tennessee Magazine helps us distribute information to our members in a way that is timely, educational, and engaging. As our member communication preferences have evolved, so has the magazine’s method of distribution.

We’re always looking for new ways to engage and educate our members. Our blog serves as a place to find answers to many of your questions. If you’re looking for information and can’t find it--or we haven’t answered your question yet--let us know. MTE is dedicated to informing and educating our membership.

As a trusted energy advisor, MTE strives to create educational information to help our member live their best lives. We use a variety of ways to keep members and our community informed. From blogs and social media to press releases and The Tennessee Magazine, our communications team works to provide you relevant, engaging, and educational information.
