Safety Training
Everyone goes home safe
MTE’s Safety team teaches those who work near our lines how to recognize electrical hazards before they run into them. From first responders at a car wreck to construction workers digging near power lines, we build each session around your organization. This means your schedule, your setting, and the situations your teammates actually face. Sessions range from a 15-minute roll call to a 4-hour class and are held where it’s convenient for you — in a classroom, at your station, or on your job site.
Firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and emergency management personnel arrive at scenes where electrical hazards aren’t always obvious. Our safety team teaches first responders about downed power lines at vehicle accident scenes and electrical hazards during structure fires, so they know what they’re looking at and how to work around it.
Organizational training officers can request a session for a shift, a recruit class, or ongoing department education.

Job sites change every day, and so do the electrical hazards around them. Our safety team meets construction teams, heavy equipment operators, and rental companies on-site or in the classroom to cover basic electrical equipment, downed power line hazards, site setup, and safety planning.

MTE’s Safety team leads every session. They work with our system every day, so examples come from real situations on real lines in our service area.
Tell us your audience, how much time you have, and where you want to meet. We build the session around what your team might encounter on the job.
These sessions raise awareness and help your team recognize electrical hazards. They are not a certification or a replacement for your organization’s required safety program.
Fill out the request form with your organization, preferred session length, and the dates you have in mind. Our safety team will follow up to work out the details.
